For the past few weeks our Cotton House development has welcomed its first residents. It’s fantastic to see it all finished and to witness the first impressions from the new home owners.
We all knew this is, possibly, the best location in Ancoats, next door to the Cutting Room Square, with new restaurants, shops and coffee houses opening over the past few months.
With everything from Vietnamese and Italian to Portuguese and Chinese food, alongside quirky cocktail bars and beer houses, whatever the time of day, there’s already a real buzz to the area. Whether it’s children being dropped off at New Islington school first thing, workers grabbing lunch with colleagues, locals doing bootcamp in the square or people relaxing and having food or drinks in the evening, it’s great to see the vision for the area actually coming to life and it’ll only get better now even more developments are completing.
Now we’re at the final stages of our development, and 95% sold with only 2 town houses left for sale, which are getting an increasing amount of interest as Ancoats becomes even more of a hotspot for young professionals and families, who want to be in the city centre, but in an area with more heritage buildings and industrial culture.
We’re soon to announce who we have partnered with for the pub too which we are confident people will be excited about. Called the Edinburgh Castle Public House, it’s such a key spot in the area and has such a big history, dating back to 1811, we needed to get it right. Not least because it will be right on the door step for our residentsBack to News & Views
