A New Space at the Heart of the Community
The new Community Centre will be a welcoming place for people of all ages to come together — for activities, learning, and social connection. It will sit at the heart of the new Appleton Cross Local Centre, alongside the new health and other local facilities.
Community
- To provide a community facility designed to serve all residents.
- To provide flexible spaces that support local groups, activities, and events, helping to strengthen Appleton Cross as a true neighbourhood hub.
- To deliver a facility that supports a variety of social, cultural, wellbeing and educational activities that meet the needs of local people.
The Community Facility could include
- Multi-purpose rooms suitable for clubs, classes, workshops, local meetings and local religious groups
- Spaces for social events and community drop-ins
- Facilities for youth and family activities
- Flexible layouts that can adapt as the needs of the community evolve
- Opportunities for local groups to hire and use the space.
