The aim of the Local Centre in Appleton Cross is to create a community-focused hub  

designed to reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community.

What is Proposed

• A medical centre delivered by United Healthcare Developments which includes GP clinical rooms to meet increased patient numbers and offer extended services together with space for other potential health services on the first floor.

• Retail and Commercial offer with local shops providing everyday essentials including a convenience store and a pharmacy.  

• A community facility with flexible space for events and activities including a cafe and meeting spaces that help build social connections.  

• Green & landscaped public space including a community square and opportunities for play areas and walking paths integrated into the local centre.  

• A Well Planned and accessible parking for residents and visitors. Combined with a road network that supports the development of a sustainable, accessible, and well-connected community. As well as access onto Green Lane.
